Faith Under Fire
Five secrets for surviving a crisis:
1. Remember who God is. vv. 1-3
2. Seek His presence more than another place. vv. 4-6
3. Be honest with your feelings. vv. 7-10
4. Trust in the truth of Scripture over your feelings. vv. 11-12.
5. Wait patiently. vv. 13-14

What three character qualities of God does David recall in v. 1? What do you think he means by each? How do each relate to David’s confidence in vv. 2-3?
What is David’s deepest desire (vv. 4, 8)? What does it mean to seek God’s face?
What is David counting on happening as a result of his seeking the Lord? (vv. 5-6)
Why do you think there is such drastic change in tone from vv. 1-6 to vv. 7-10? How is
David expressing his honest feelings?
