What makes the man in the parable a fool?
- He overestimates his control over his own life (16, 18-19)
- He has centered his life on the wrong thing (21)
Why is wealth a danger to us?
- It undermines our trust in God (12.19)
- It steals our heart (12.34)
- It distracts us from the real purpose of life (12.21)
Take Home Idea: Centering our lives on anything but Jesus and his kingdom is foolish; true fulfillment and security are found only through trust in God and partnership with him.
