Hebrews 2:6-9

Psalm 8: Humankind …

….was intended to be a special creature.

… was intended to be a creature of special privilege.

… was intended to be a creature of unique dignity.

… was intended as a creature of unrivalled dominion.

Jesus is the fulfillment of Psalm 8.

Jesus stepped down.

— Took on our frustrated humanity.

— Took on our suffering humanity.

God lifted Jesus up.

— Jesus is available at any time, anywhere.

— We can trust that our lowly bodies are now destined for glory.

— The way has been opened up for us to experience the grace and forgiveness of God.

Take Home Idea: By stepping down Jesus, the King, was lifted up and will reign forever!
