JULY 14 & AUGUST 11

Happy Summer! We hope everyone had a fun Fourth of July and is keeping cool on these warm humid days. Here’s a reminder that we are meeting next week on Tuesday, July 14 at 6:00 p.m. to begin creating collages on how our ordinary daily lives can reflect holiness, shining the light of Christ. We are hoping you have been reflecting on and have gained inspiration from the summer sermon series “Every Moment Holy.” As we think through the teaching, we’d like you to reflect on how you mindfully invite God into situations and apply them to everyday life. We would like you to bring copies of your own photos or pictures from magazines that would help illustrate your story: family, work, school, friendships, serving your neighbors, or expressing your gratitude for the nature of God, etc. We will continue to work on our collages on Tuesday, August 11.

We’re hoping to exhibit our artwork in the foyer in September.

You can find all the summer sermons on the sermon page. Also, here is a link to the Spotify Summer series playlist that our Worship team has put together.

Because we are all made in the image of God, we are designed to create beautiful things in the world. At First Free, we value the arts and creativity as a vital expression of worship. The goal of Created to Create—led by Gayle Gilman and Marlene Maloney—is to help people in our community exercise their creative potential and develop their artistic skills. Monthly art classes for anyone from children (able to follow directions & work independently with some assistance) through adulthood are available on Tuesdays, from 6–8 p.m.
