How do we keep faith with God in the midst of suffering and hardship?
- Bring your grief and struggles to God instead of turning away (Ps. 22)
- God may seem absent, but the truth is that he is near (22.1, 11, 19 cf. 24).
- Trust in God’s faithfulness and redeeming power (22.3-5, 24-31).
- The cross is the proof and promise (22.27-31, Rm. 11).
- Look for purpose instead of explanations (22.27-31; Jn. 9)
God never promises a life free from hardship or pain, instead he offers himself and the promise that one day he will put all things right.
