What it means

1. The ascension of a king to the heavens was a sign that those powers above humanity were vindicating that king’s rule and reign.
2. For Luke, Jesus the Messiah has ascended to the throne as king over all creation. He is above all emperors and all false gods.
3. Because Christ ascended over every power, we are now empowered to go out and bring everything that isn’t in alignment with God’s good design for creation into alignment.

Signs of Christ’s Reign in the World

• Pagans reported the sudden powerlessness of their gods.
• The moral compass of the world completely changed.
