Recap
- God is the creator & sustainer of all things; he is the how & the why of creation (Gn. 1.1; Hb. 1.3).
- All God has made is very good and full of his glory (Gn. 1.31; Is. 6.3).
- God has repeatedly proven his great love for all he has made (Rm. 8.3, 19-21, 31, 35).
What is the future of creation?
- Freedom: from sin, evil and corruption (Rv. 21.4; Rm. 8.21).
- Renewal: God will not destroy creation, he will “make all things new” (Rv. 21.1, 5).
- Creation’s future - and yours - is material, but imperishable (1 Cor. 15.35-58; Lk. 24).
- Glory: From full to covered with God’s glory (Hbk. 2.4; Rv. 21.3, 11, 22-23).
Creation’s future is to become the home where God will dwell forever with his people.
