What does the resurrection mean? 

• God has vindicated Jesus, and made him King over all creation (28.5-7, 18).
• The empty tomb (28.6)
• The risen Jesus (28.9-10).
• An earthquake (28.2)

• The cross was not a defeat, it was Jesus’ victory over the powers of sin and death
• The temple veil was torn from top to bottom (27.51) .
• Some of the dead were raised to life (27.52-53).
• The earth shook (27.51, 54; cf. Ps. 18).

• All who repent and give their allegiance to Jesus can receive freedom from sin and eternal life with God now starting today (Mt. 28.19-20; Jn. 21.15-19; Acts 9).
