Big themes from the book of Ruth
- Don’t underestimate the plan and power of God (4.17).
- God is always doing something more and bigger than we can see or grasp (4.18-22).
- God is not always impressed by what impresses us (4.15b).
- In this story, the person who embodies and inspires covenant loyalty in others is a woman and a foreigner (2.11-12; 3.10-11).
- Loyalty to Yahweh should make us generous and kind toward others (4.9-10).

- Share a time when you were on the receiving end of simple goodness. Why do moments like that leave such an impact?
