Ruth Act III: Mundane Mediators of God’s Grace
Speaker: Paul Anleitner Series: Ruth Scripture: Ruth 3:1–18
Where to look for God when God feels “muted”
- When God feels muted, remember that God did not just start creation and then occasionally intervenes with miracles. He is sustaining all things.
- When God feels muted, look for the activity of redemption through mundane mediators of his grace.
Context Question: What was a “guardian-redeemer?”
God’s extraordinary story is most often mediated through ordinary faithfulness.
Discussion Questions
- When in your own life has God felt “muted,” and looking back, where do you now see His quiet work through ordinary circumstances or people?
- How might your own ordinary faithfulness today — in work, relationships, parenting, service — be part of God’s larger redemptive story, even if you never see the outcome in your lifetime?
- If this season of your life feels like a “filler episode,” what character traits might God be forming in you right now that could prepare you for a future work of redemption or service?
