Now What?

Jesus is risen! The power of sin and death has been broken! So, now what? (Acts 1:6)

• Now, Jesus will reign alongside God the Father on the throne of all creation (Matthew 28:18; cf. Revelation 4-5).
• Now, the followers of Jesus will tell others that Jesus is King and teach them how to live as citizens of his Kingdom (Matthew 19-20).
• Now, God will bring the blessings of his rule to all creation in partnership with his people (Matthew 28:18-20; cf. Genesis 1).

Discussion Questions:

1. Can you remember a time in your own life where you felt like everything changed, but daily life seemed the same? How did that feel?
2. How can Jesus both ascend to heaven and be with them always?
3. How is this passage and the subsequent growth of the church a fulfillment of God’s original creation intent in Genesis 1?
