Jesus Gets Disappointment

John expected the Messiah to bring judgment for the wicked, and so far he has been disappointed. (11.3)

• Even people of great faith can be disappointed (11.3, 8-10)
• We can still trust in the person of God even when we are disappointed in his plan (11.3)

How can we still trust God when we are disappointed? 

• Take your disappointment directly to Jesus (11.3)
• Allow Jesus to reshape your hopes and expectations (11.4-6)

Our ultimate hope is not in our plans or expectations, but in the person of Jesus and the promise of God to one day put all things right
