Who Is This?

Jesus is driving the events of Holy Week, not the crowds, not the Jewish leaders, not the Roman authorities. 

What is Jesus trying to accomplish on Palm Sunday?

• Jesus is making an obvious, public claim to the throne of David (2-5)
• Jesus is revealing himself publicly as the Messiah (12-17)
• Jesus is offering himself as the true passover lamb (26.17-30)

“…God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both King and Messiah…” Therefore, ”Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus the Messiah for the forgiveness of your sins.” (Acts 2.36, 38)
