All humans are hope-based creatures.

What is Biblical hope?

“The root and the descendant of David” 

            Isaiah 11:1; 10

“There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.”

“The bright Morning Star”.

            Numbers 24:17

“I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near.  A star shall come out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel.” 

Take Home Idea:  The invitation of Jesus’ name, the bright Morning Star, (and Advent) is to set our hope back on Jesus.
