Once you have joined God’s family through faith alone in Jesus alone, how do you live appropriately as a member of his family? 

2 Options:

• Paul: Having begun by faith and the Spirit, keep living by faith and the Spirit (1-3)
• “Circumcision Party:” Live as God’s people always have, through obedience to the Law

Paul’s Arguments

• You received the Holy Spirit by faith, not works of the law (2, 14)
• Abraham lived by faith, so those who live by faith are Abraham’s true heirs (7-9)
• Anyone who lives by the Law is obligated to keep ALL of it - and none of us can (10-14)
