Giant of Fear

Psalm 55

World’s mantra:  Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Results of our fears:

• When we are afraid, we become anxious, restless.  vv. 2b-5

• When we are afraid, we want to run. vv. 6-8

• When we are afraid, we become distrustful. vv. 9-11

Response to our fears:

• We find peace when we ask God for help.  vv. 1-2a; 16-18.

• We find peace when we surrender control to God.  vs. 22

• We find peace when we trust God. vs. 23

Take Home Idea:  Faith feeds on giants like fear.
