1 Thessalonians 5:12-22

The church’s (our) responsibilities …

… with regards to church leaders.  vv. 12-13

• Encourage those in leadership

• Leadership lead “in the Lord”.

… with regards to the church family.  vv. 14-15

• Care for each other.

… with regards to our church worship.  vv. 16-22

• Rejoice always.
• Pray continually.
• Be thankful in all circumstances.
• Respond to God’s Word.

Three Applications:

• Make the Head of the family your priority.
• Make the family a priority.
• Accept family responsibilities.

Take Home Idea: As the church, we are more than an organization, we are a family.
