Ephesians 1:13-14

 

We do what we do because we think like we think.

“You are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.”

  • Signifies security and safety.
  • Signifies a transaction is complete.
  • Signifies the item is valuable.
  • Signifies ownership.

Take Home Idea: You have been marked by God’s Spirit as God’s possession.

Dig: Read Ephesians 1:3-14

Paul lists eight different spiritual blessings in this passage. Can you find each of them?

Which of these blessings does Paul say is work done by the Holy Spirit?

Reading vs. 13, what is the process in receiving our salvation? At what point are we sealed by the Holy Spirit?

Pastor Joel identified 4 different facets of this metaphor of a “seal”. Name them and identify which one holds the most importance to you.

Why is the issue of security in Christ important to you?
