God’s Desire for Trust
Nahum
Nahum:
• means “comfort”
• message of vengeance on Assyria & Nineveh
God’s Vengeance vv. 1-6
• Explained by His jealousy.
• Expressed by His wrath.
• Delayed by His patience.
• Displayed by His power.
God’s vengeance beckons us to trust Him. v. 7
God is good. vv. 7 - 15
• He is a refuge in times of trouble.
• He sets people free.
Take Home Idea: God’s vengeance is a display of His goodness for those who have taken refuge in Him.
