First Free Church will require church attendees and Creekside or Velocity volunteers to wear masks only when a mask mandate has been issued by a government authority, and only when that mandate specifically includes churches and other places of worship.
First Free Church will recommend everyone wear a mask only when CDC guidelines indicate that masks are recommended in Hennepin County. In that situation, church staff, council members, and Welcome Force volunteers will be asked to wear masks, to help encourage others in attendance to wear masks.
First Free Church will be a welcoming place for everyone, whether they wear a mask or not. We will not tolerate "mask-shaming" and will seek to maintain the unity of the body around this issue, in the spirit of Ephesians 4:3-6. Our Faith Community Nurses will be available to answer questions from anyone in the congregation about staying healthy.
