How to read a gospel

The four books that we call gospels represent a unique form or genre of literature, but one that has similarities with many other kinds of ancient writing. So what is a “gospel?” Why were they composed and written down? And why does the bible have four?


The Gospel According to Luke

Ae walk through the gospel of Luke together this year, we want to encourage you to follow along with us. While most of us are familiar with Luke (Certainly the birth narrative of Jesus and the parable of the prodigal son are very widely known), we should also remember the incredible, almost unparalleled impact that it has had on the world. The good news about Jesus, recorded by Luke (and Matthew, Mark & John), changed the world. Join us as we walk through this gospel account together, and make some time to dig deeper into this world changing story.
