Twin Cities Marathon
Join with others from First Free as we serve at the mile 9 fluid station during the Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 5. This is a great opportunity to serve with your family (it's kid-friendly), or to invite friends and coworkers from outside the church. Just as in past years, we will set-up the fluid station, pass our drinks to the runners, and then clean-up at the end. Contact Pastor Jay with any questions, or sign-up by following the instructions below:

Race Day Information
Susan and Carolyn will be your captains for the Mile 9 Fluid Station next Sunday. Carolynn and Susan will arrive with the truck around 6:15 a.m. They will be unloading some things from the truck and putting them on a tarp. They will also confirm that the hydrant is working properly.
Right away at 7 a.m., they will do an initial huddle with the teams. The plan is to get started with three key tasks: 1) setting up tables, 2) preparing the Nuun and 3) cleaning the coroplast boards for cups. We know not everyone can be involved in these three key steps. This is a good opportunity to get their shirts on and help with some other tasks as asked. Susan and Carolyn will do a second huddle soon after that, perhaps around 7:15 or so. At that point, they will give out assignments for specific tasks that will take volunteers through the morning.
If you have any questions before the weekend, please contact the church office and we can put you in touch with Susan and Carolyn.
