Because we are all made in the image of God, we are designed to create beautiful things in the world. At First Free, we value the arts and creativity as a vital expression of worship. The goal of Created to Create—led by Gayle Gilman and Marlene Maloney—is to help people in our community exercise their creative potential and develop their artistic skills.

• We will begin with some quick gesture drawings, that capture the essence of the subject with fluid lines. 
• Next we will slow down & do a blind contour drawing following the edges of an object without looking at your paper (well maybe just a peek or two). 
• The final exercise will be a fascinating study on learning to see like an artist by trying an upside down drawing that dissociates your brain from the familiar to see the image with fresh eyes. 

We look forward to enjoying this class with you as we appreciate our successes & laugh at our bloopers. All ages 10 & up are welcome. No skills necessary & all supplies are provided. Bring a friend or neighbor!
