Every Spring thousands flock to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum's display of tulips that showcases a "riot" of color. In anticipation of Spring, our April 9 class will give us a chance to hone our painting skills with small paintings of tulips & pansies. I'm sure we are all ready to put away the shovels & celebrate a cycle of new life & growth. Paintings will be done on canvases with gouache/acrylics to help us gain mastery of these media. In Psalm 27 David says he desires to "behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple." We can do this daily because the earth "shows His handiwork" Ps 19:1. Focusing on that helps us appreciate all God's gifts to us.
