My name is Jay Pound, and I will be the new pastoral intern at First Free for the next school year (2011-12). I will mainly be working in the "Connecting" area, but I will helping out all over. My wife Heidi grew up at First Free, and we have attended together now for nearly ten years; we were married here and dedicated our two girls, Liesl (2) and Evelyn (4 months) here as well.

I am a "pastor's kid," and grew up at Berean Baptist Church in Mansfield, Ohio. I have two younger brothers, Matthew and Jonathan (who passed away this Spring). I attended Bethel University, where I was called to ministry. I then moved on to Seminary, also at Bethel, and am currently in my last year. I have a passion for teaching, and I am excited to have the opportunity to be involved in our "Connecting" ministry here at First Free.

I sincerely hope that I will have an opportunity to know all of you better as we minister together here at First Free!
