Dee received a B. S. in Nursing and a Master of Science degree with a focus on Public Health/Mental Health and minors in Education and Social Science from the University of Minnesota. She has taught at the University of Kentucky, University of Minnesota, Bethel College and Normandale Community College and established the role of clinical nurse specialist at Pilot City Health Center and Esse Associates, Inc. In 2003, Dee completed a Parish Nurse Course and is pleased to have the opportunity to use her skills at First Evangelical Free Church. She joined the First Free Church Staff in April 2005. Dee lives with her husband, David, in Bloomington. They have been actively involved with the Seekers Multi-culture Class at First Evangelical Free Church. This ministry began during the fall of 1998 when they began hosting Chinese graduate students attending the University of Minnesota through the China Outreach Ministries. A Thought From God's Word: I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
