Holy Spirit: The Paraclete

Helper (Paraclete) = Holy Spirit.

Benefits for the Believer:

  • He empowers us.
  • He advocates for us.
  • He guides us into truth.

Take Home Idea: As believers we have an amazing companion, a Helper who empowers us, advocates for us, and guides us into truth.

Jesus makes an outrageous statement in vs. 12.  What do “greater works” do you think he was talking about?

How do you think the disciples anticipated the Spirit begin part of their lives, in comparison to the personal presence of Jesus with them?
