Lie: God is judging and accusatory.

• Everyday is a battle.
• Never able to do enough to appease God.

Truth: God is merciful and gracious.

• Jonah 4:2, Lamentations 3:22-24.
• Matthew 18:23-35; 20:1-16
• Ephesians 2:4; John 3:16-17

God's Mercy: Withholds punishment.

• It begins with emotions.
• It comes out of relationship.
• It is needed.
• It is always found in Jesus Christ.

God's Grace: Undeserved Favor.

• Scandalous.
• Costs nothing for us, costs everything for God.

Take Home Idea: God is not the accuser; He is the Father, who gives both mercy and grace.
