As you think, so you are.

Following Christ calls us to start thinking like Christ thinks.

Philippians 2:5; 4:8-9

1 Corinthians 2:6-16

  • There is a difference between the wisdom we have and the wisdom the world has.
  • The wisdom we have comes from God's Spirit, who is the only one to know the thoughts of God.
  • We can have the mind of Christ because the Spirit of God resides in us.

How does the Spirit of God transform our minds?

  • Repent. (Matt. 4:17)
  • Demolish strongholds. (2 Cor. 10:3-5)
  • Start worshipping God. (Rom. 12:1-2)
  • Get into God's Word. (Psalm 1)

Take Home Idea: As followers of Christ we must invite the Spirit of God to transform our minds.

A Thought From God's Word:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. [1 Corinthians 13:4-7]
