Patience is a quality that describes God.

Exodus 34:6; Jonah 4:2; Romans 2:4; 1 Peter 3:18-20

To see God's patience you need to see it in action.

Scoffers laugh at the idea of Christ's physical return.

But God's calendar is not like ours. God's calendar is . . .

• A Heavenly Calendar. (v. 8)

• A Moral Calendar. (v. 9a)

• An Evangelistic Calendar. (v. 9b)

Our response to God's patience:

• As Christ-followers we must be on our guard.
  
  
  
• As Christ-followers we must use our time to share Christ.

 Take Home Idea: God's patience is not an excuse for unbelief, but an opportunity to repent.
