News & Notes

The Outreach Commission would like to extend a huge "Thank You" to Craig Hucek and crew for their outstanding work at the Pancake Breakfast on February 7th. Everything was great!

First Free's Quarterly Business Meeting will be tomorrow at 7 PM. The following people have been nominated for Council: Vice Chair-Ron Olson; Treasurer-David Kriesel-Koll; Council-Jay Pound; Hong (Bob) Gu (re-elect). We will also be voting on a proposal concerning the property at 5155 Chicago.

Out with the old, in with the new! Pick up the latest edition of FEFC's directory, Fotobook, in the foyer today!

Children's Musical Time! Kids in Gr. 2-6: Sign up for the children's musical, "Come, Messiah Come"! Practices will be on Wednesdays at 5 PM starting on MARCH 4th. The production will take place on MAY 15 and 16. Sign up TODAY at the Creekside Canteen in the gym. Contact Diane Ryden at (612) 825-7521 with questions.

All women of First Free are invited to a baby shower for Heather Aunan at the church on February 22nd, 2:00 PM. Heather is registered at Target and Babies R Us. Contact Katie Goodman at (612) 702-8389 with any questions.

Reminder! Dual February/March Commissions and Council meetings will take place on February 22nd at 5:30 and 7:30 PM.

Individuals interested in joining the Dominican Republic work team can sign-up by filling out the DR form (available at the Welcome Desk) and leaving the completed form with deposit in the church office by March 1st.

All newcomers and visitors are invited to a Guest Luncheon on March 1st following second service.  This is an informal gathering where you can meet Pastor Joel and Becky Sutton and the ministry staff while having a 'meal on us.'  You may sign up at the Welcome Center or indicate your plan to come on the welcome card found in your worship folder. 

Calling all card tables! Student Ministries is in need of tables for its upcoming Fundraiser Dinner. Please bring your tables to the church by March 1st. Tables can be stored in the labeled closet located on the East wall of the gym.
