Top Ten Questions about "10 Keys"

  • If I bring someone who is younger or older than me, will we have to sit at different tables?

No, we want you to sit with the people you bring so that you can focus on building that relationship. We want the course to be an opportunity for you to strengthen relationships with non-believers as you learn together.

  • Can I sign up if I'm not bringing anyone?

Although we appreciate your desire to learn more about the Bible, we are limiting the course to those who bring guests. The 10 Keys course is a tool for personal evangelism-it is an opportunity for you to help others learn more about the Bible and a relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • I'm really more of a "behind the scenes" kind of person-would you rather I signed up right away to help with meals and logistics?

Our first priority for you would be for you to invite the non-believers that God has placed in your lives. 10 Keys is an outreach event designed to explain the Bible clearly to people who are curious, confused, or simply interested in what the Bible says. We encourage you to take that step of faith and invite a non-believer! We will, however, need some help with food and logistics. For more information, call Jenny Merry at 612.823.4362.

  • Why are First EFC attendees paying more than guests?

There are two main reasons: 1) We want to discourage you from attending without bringing a guest and 2) We would like those from First EFC to help subsidize the cost of the course and meals.

  • Are there scholarships available for our guests?

Yes, there are some scholarships available for guests. Please visit the registration table for more information.

  • What will the schedule be like for the evening?

The evening will promptly begin at 6:00 PM with dinner served buffet style. The presentation portion of the evening, led by Joel Sutton or Dan Reeve, will begin at 6:30 PM, with dessert and discussion at 7:00 PM. The evening will end right at 7:30 PM. (Childcare is available the entire time.)

  • Is a book included in the cost of the course?

The 10 Keys for Unlocking the Bible book is not needed for the course, nor is it included in the registration fee. The book can supplement the course, but is not necessary to grasp the concepts of the course. Books will be for sale throughout the course.

  • I invited people but haven't heard back yet. When is the last time I can sign up?

We encourage you to register and pay today if possible. The cut-off for registration is at the church office by 4 PM on Wednesday, January 14.

  • Is one of the presenters the football coach?

Dan Reeve will be presenting but is not the Dan Reeves you are thinking of!
