All Church Assembly for Praise & Prayer

January 27, 2002 - 6:00 PM

Opening Prayer   Mark Mellema

Who may ascend the hill of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.
He will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God his Savior. -Psalm 24:2-5

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again
by the yoke of slavery. -Galatians 5:1

Time of Worship   Roger Olson

"My Jesus, I Love Thee"
My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine -
For Thee all the follies of sin I resign;
My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou:
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus 'tis now.
I love Thee because Thou hast first loved me
And purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree;
I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow:
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus 'tis now.

"White As Snow"
White as snow, white as snow, though my sins were as scarlet,
Lord, I know, Lord, I know that I'm clean and forgiven.
Through the power of Your blood,
Through the wonder of your love,
Through faith in You I know that I can be white as snow.

Corporate Praise & Prayer   Bob Chapman

I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
I will be filled with joy because of you,
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
-Psalm 9:1-2

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert
mind and a thankful heart. -Colossians 4:2

I also tell you this;
If two of you agree down here on earth
concerning anything you ask,
My Father in heaven will do it for you.
For where two or three gather together because they are mine,
I am there among them. -Matthew 18: 19-20

A Thought From God's Word:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. [John 1:1-3]
