Class 101: Exploring Church Membership: If you would like to find out more about becoming a member of First Free, join our class TODAY from 4-8 PM. Dinner will be provided.

Rick and Becky Mackey are visiting today!  They are scheduled to speak at 9:30 AM in the Life ABF (Room 104). They will also speak at 11 AM in Room 105 to several other ABFs.  Please come and join us! 

The Life ABF will begin a Bible study on the book of James starting November 8th. If you have wanted to try out an ABF, this would be a great time to start! Bring your morning coffee and join us at 9:30 AM in Room 104.

A class for visiting the homebound will be held next Sunday, Nov. 1, at 11 AM in Pastor Joel's office. If you are interested in joining this ministry and attending, please contact Parish Nurse Maureen Juarez at parishnurses {at} firstfreechurch.org.

Women's Guild will be meeting Nov. 3rd at 1 PM. Diane C. of Reach Global will be speaking.

Our next Fresh Encounter, a praise & prayer event, will be November 11th at 6:30 PM.

Do you struggle with the age-old question, "What's for Dinner?" Are you interested in participating in a meal swap with other women?  We meet the 2nd Wed. of each month. Call Vanessa Beckett at 612-721-6885 with questions or to join.

Several hundred future leaders of China, doing graduate or undergraduate work at the U of M, are looking for American friends, and are curious about Christianity. On Nov. 15 you have an opportunity to host a Chinese student or family in your home for a meal and take him or her to a short outreach near the U. In conjunction with our Outreach Weekend, the Outreach Commission is introducing a new "Adopt-A-Missionary" program as a way to connect this congregation with our supported missionaries. You can sign up to "adopt" a missionary as an individual, couple, family, small group or ABF group - to pray for, communicate to, encourage, and support. Pick up a FAQ sheet in the gym today!

Congratulations to Peter and Jessica McWilliams! Their twin girls, Claire Joy and Leah Rose, were born on October 13th. The girls joined their big brother, Ryan, and sister, Molly.

Pictorial History of First Free DVDs ($3) and History Books are available in the foyer after services today.

Today, after First Service, Christina Olson and Parish Nurse Maureen Juarez will be providing free blood pressure checks for any who are interested. They will be located in the downstairs hallway (near Rooms 105/106).

Please remember Lorraine and the whole Prins family in your prayers as they grieve their recent loss of Harry, Jon's father and a retired EFCA missionary. A funeral service will be held at 4 PM on October 16th at FEFC.

Thank you to those who put in so many hours to make the celebration of First Free's 125th a success! The committee included: Wayne Danielson, Steve Mondy, Apryl Hultstrand, Dee Huanca, Ross Olson, Phyllis Nordin, and Eric Twietmeyer.

A special concert and sing with the Foundation Quartet and Sweetwater Revival: TODAY at 3 PM. No tickets needed.

Missionaries:

John and Lori Robb are with International Prayer Council. Lori (Erickson) grew up at First Free and with John, served in Malaysia for 7 years before becoming traveling ambassadors and prayer coordinators for World Vision for 23 years.

Ernie Manges teaches pastors and Christian workers at a seminary in the Philippines.

Dave and Jan Harthan serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators, bringing the written Scriptures to tribal peoples around the world.

Everyone is invited to celebrate First Free's 125th Anniversary today! A special service will begin at 2 PM; reception to follow. Parents: Childcare will be available for infant-2 yr. olds.

Current and former First Free Choir members:  Join us in performing for the 125th Anniversary Celebration Service!  Interested? Please arrive at 1:15 PM for rehearsal. 

The Minnehaha Nokomis Grief Support Group will be starting Monday at First Free. Group meets weekly from 4:30-6:30 PM; join at any time. No fee. Contact Marilyn Fisher at (612) 724-9311 with questions.

Women's Guild potluck luncheon-Tuesday, Noon. All men are invited. Marie Mondy will be sharing about her mission trip.

"The Tale of Two Ducks": Stockade Camp Nathanael Trip! All boys, dads, and Rangers invited! Leave church at 5:30 PM, Friday and return at 3 PM, next Sunday. Sign up at Clubs or call Doug Nelson {at} (612) 250-0520.

Please be aware that incidents of fraud have been reported to the police involving a local church. A man going by various names including: Markus Beal, Markus Billing, and Marcus Bell took a local church's directory and has called various members of that church for "assistance." Please be careful when handing out information from First Free's Fotobook and when receiving phone calls from unknown church members.

Beginner guitar lessons start this Wednesday at 5:00 PM for those 12 years old and older who have their own guitar and are interested in learning how to play.  A small fee will be requested for materials.  Contact Brian Bartle at brian.bartle {at} gmail.com for more information.
