Today, after First Service, Christina Olson and Holly Bergsten will be providing free blood pressure checks for any who are interested. They will be located in the downstairs hallway (near Rooms 105/106).

Beginning next Sunday, First Free will switch to one service at 9:30 AM thru September 6th. ABFs, Youth Church, and Children's Bible Time will not meet during this time. Nursery and Preschool care will continue to be available, as will Children's Activity Bags.

All are invited to come and hear about what God did during the Youth Group's summer mission trips. Youth Missions Report: August 30th, 6-7:30 PM.

Women of the church! You are invited to attend Baby Showers for Heidi Pound on August 2nd and Heidi Hollinbeck on August 9th. (Both are registered at Target and Babies R Us). Their showers will be at 11:30 AM in Rooms 105/106. Contact Katie Goodman at (612) 702-8389 with questions.

First Free's next Quarterly Business Meeting will be August 10th at 7 PM.

Attention all ladies ~On August 11th at 7:00 PM (Room 104) there will be an organizational meeting for women interested in joining a book club at First Free.  At the meeting we will determine our reading selections, meeting time, and format.  The book club will be meeting on the 3rd Monday of each month starting in September.  If you are interested in joining the club but are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Marilynn Highland at 612-824-9492 or Pam Kriesel-Koll at 612-866-2574 with any questions or suggestions.

If you would like to be baptized at Lake Nokomis this summer, please mark your Welcome Card or contact the Church Office. The service will be on August 16th with a picnic to follow. Those with last names A-O, please bring a salad to serve 10 people; P-Z, please bring a dessert to serve 10 people.

All are invited to attend a Baby Shower for Maggie Zhao and Bob Gu TODAY at 1:30 PM in Rooms 105/106.  They are registered at Babies R Us under Maggie Zhao, Roseville, MN.

Join us Next Sunday at 10:30 AM for a special Worship Service at Minnehaha Falls! Invite cards for friends can be found at the Welcome Center. Do you like to bike? A group of cyclists will be leaving from First Free at 9:50 AM to ride together to the service. See you there!

Notice: Metered Parking at Minnehaha Falls has increased to $.75 per hour. Please plan accordingly!

Can you drive a bus? The Youth Group needs you! They are looking for one driver for Rock the River (St. Paul) on Aug. 16 and two drivers for Fall Retreat Oct. 15-18. Contact Mark Meyers (mark.meyers {at} firstfreechurch.org) if you can help out!

Plan Ahead! Family Camp will be August 21st-23rd. Contact Carrie Boyum (joncarrieboyum {at} hotmail.com) with questions.

New Chinese students are arriving in late July-August to study at the U of MN. They need a place to stay for several days while they find regular housing. China Outreach Ministries is looking for people willing to open up their homes. If you are interested, please contact Bob & Joanne Kraftson at rjkraftson {at} embarqmail.com or 651-437-6806.

The Community Outreach Committee praises God and sends a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you for your faith, planning, hard work, and participation in the Neighborhood Street Fest.  You helped make this event, geared to meet and celebrate our neighbors, a great success!  Thanks!
