Greetings from Bud & Beda Anderson! Thank you for the lovely reception that you had for us. The move went well. Thanks to the five men from church who helped us. We arrived on Saturday afternoon. Bud was very ill but is almost back to normal. Thanks again for your love and prayers.

Sojourners' Social: All adults meet at the home of Mark & Sherie McClun on Friday, November 3, at 7:00 pm. This will be an appetizer/dessert evening. No childcare will be provided. If you have questions, contact Kris Larson.

Women's Guild: Everyone is welcome to our next meeting on Tuesday, November 7, at 1:00 pm. Carrie Boyum and Jessica McWilliams will be sharing about the MOPS ministry.

Council & Commission Meetings: The Finance & Property Board and Commission Meetings (except Caring) will meet on Sunday, November 5, at 5:30 pm. Council will follow at 7:30.

Quarterly Business Meeting: Our next business meeting will take place on Monday, November 13, at 7:00 pm.

Thanksgiving Food Drive-Community Emergency Services: Grocery bags will be available this week and next week in the foyer following the service. Fill the bags with non-perishable food items and items listed on the bags. Return the bags to church by Sunday, November 12.

Baby Dedication on Sunday, November 12th: If you would like to dedicate your child and are available on this date, please call Cindy in the church office at (612) 827-4705.

Senior Singles' Lunch: Our next lunch will be on Sunday, November 12, at 12:30 pm at Steak 'n Ale.

Gospel Sing: Inspiring Gospel singing led by Bob Fallt and featuring the Foundation Quartet and Sweetwater Revival will take place at First Free on Sunday, November 12, at 3:00 pm.

Small Group Study: A Crown Financial Ministries 10-week small group will begin again in January 2007. Please contact Joel Burns if you are interested at (612) 724-6510.

New Orleans Mission Trip: Those who have expressed an interest in the New Orleans trip beginning November 11th need to confirm their availability with a check deposit of $20 made out to First Free. Please put money, in an envelope marked NEW ORLEANS, in offering plate during the service.

On Sunday, November 12, would you have a Mainland Chinese student or family to your home for a meal and take him or her to a short outreach at the U or MN? Agape Social: We are planning to go the play, The Gospel According to Scrooge, on Saturday, December 2. We need to act fast to get a block of tickets, so we plan to call this week and reserve places for the 7:30 pm show. Tickets are $19. Please call Ross & Karin at (612) 824-7691 to reserve places.

Our prayers are with Bernice Hultstrand & Family. Her husband, Win Hultstrand, went home to be with the Lord on October 7. His funeral was held at First Free on October 9th.

The Senior Singles' will meet for lunch today at 12:30 pm at Steak 'n Ale. If anyone is interested in being on the calling list, contact Char Boyles.

Thank you to everyone who worked on painting the exterior of our church house at 5147 Chicago. Your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated.

The in-depth teaching will provide biblically based answers to your financial questions or difficulties. Blood pressure checks will be held today during Fellowship Time in the hallway outside of the gym.

101 Class, Exploring Church Membership: If you are ready to take the next step in your involvement with First Free, you need to come to this class. We will meet at 4:00 pm in Room #104 tonight. Please sign up at the Welcome Center. A light supper will be provided.

Men & Women are encouraged to attend the next Guild potluck lunch at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 3rd. Glenn Hultstrand will be sharing about his dental ministry in Peru.

Boys' Brigade: It's time for the annual Christian Service Brigade Hot Dog Roast. Boys in grades 1-6 will meet at church at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, October 4. Their leaders will be driving them to Lake Nokomis. The boys need to remember their permission slips. Dads can come along, too!
