A Bridal Shower for Erica Bauer, Pastor Eric's fiancée, will be held at First Free this afternoon at 3:00 pm. Erica is registered at Macy's, Crate & Barrel, and Target.

Choir practice begins on Tuesday, September 26, at 6:45 pm. If you did not sing last year but would like to join us this year, please contact Rick Olson ASAP at (612) 729-4662.

Men & Women are encouraged to attend the next Guild potluck lunch at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 3rd. Glenn Hultstrand will be sharing about his dental ministry in Peru.

Blood pressure checks will be held on Sunday, October 1, in the hallway outside of the gym.

A Senior Singles' Lunch is planned for Sunday, October 8th. Meet at 12:30 pm at Steak 'n Ale. If anyone is interested in being on the calling list, contact Char Boyles (952) 942-9298.

Oboe, anyone? The church is looking to borrow an idle oboe for the orchestra. If you are willing or know of someone who is, please call Pastor Eric at (612) 827-4705.

New Orleans Mission Trip: Ever think about serving in New Orleans? A mission trip is being planned for November 11-18th. Contact John Symington if curious at (952) 835-1387.

Twin Cities Marathon is planned for Sunday, October 1st. If you live north of the creek, allow extra time to get to church.

Quilt Auction: Shamineau Ministries has been given several beautiful handmade quilts that will be auctioned on EBay from November 24 to December 3 at www.ebay.com/coyote-creek-store with the proceeds going to Camp Shamineau.

Congratulations to Rocky & Heather DeWall, proud parents of Daniel John DeWall who was born on September 7th. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz.

Our prayers are with Al Swanson & Family. His daughter, Pauline Swanson, went home to be with the Lord on September 3. Her memorial service will be held at First Free on Monday, September 11th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the service following at 11:00.

Women's Bible Study: All ladies are welcome on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am beginning September 13th. We will be studying the Gospel of Mark. If you have questions, please contact Patty Mellema at (612) 822-7875.

The Jr. Church Hike is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Meet at the First Free parking lot at 9:00 am. Bring $10 to cover food expenses.

"Live in Prayer"

  • Come join us this week, September 10-17, as we start off the fall season "on our KNEES" in prayer!
  • Come to the church to pray from September 11-15 any time between 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Go to the church library where there will be a list of church concerns for you to pray over. Pray alone or with others who are there.
  • The September 10 & 17 sermons will focus on prayer.
  • Join the Wednesday evening prayer group at 6:45 pm.
  • Come to Fresh Encounter on Sunday, September 17, beginning with a Potluck at 5:00 pm followed by our Prayer Time at 6:00 pm.

Congratulations to Shae & Lisa McCowen, the proud parents of Matthew Robert, born on August 26. He weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds 2 oz. Mom and baby are doing well.

Our prayers go out to Betty Carlson & Family. Al (Pete) Carlson went home to be with the Lord on August 30. Visitation will be at Albin Chapel in Eden Prairie on Monday, September 4, from 5:00-7:00 pm. His funeral will be held at First Free on Tuesday, September 5, at 11:00 am.

Blood Pressure Check Date Change: Blood pressure checks will take place on Kick Off Sunday, September 10, in the hallway outside of the gym (not this Sunday).

Women's Guild Date Change: We would like to invite all our ladies to our first meeting on, Thursday, September 7, at 1:00 pm. Our speaker will be Sheryll Erickson.
