Congratulations to Jordan & Katie Goodman who were married at First Free on Friday, March 24. You are invited to a night of music tonight at the Acadia Café to hear Eric Twietmeyer and friends play original music. Eric & band play at 8:15 pm. There is a $1 cover charge. Acadia is located at the corner of Nicollet and Franklin. Minnesota Vespers (Worship in the Traditional Style) will be held at First Free on Sunday, April 2, at 4:30 PM, with special music by Roger & Denise Olson. Women's Guild Luncheon: Women of all ages are invited to a Noon luncheon on Tuesday, April 4. More details to come. Senior Singles will not meet for lunch in April. A Baby Shower is being planned for Yu Bo (Bonnie) and Wang Xiaoqiang on Sunday, April 9, at 1:30 PM. They are expecting a boy. Bonnie is registered at Target. This is a Seekers Class event but others in the church are also welcome. If you have questions, please call Audrey Sollie. Easter Lilies: You will be able to sign up to purchase Easter Lilies beginning Sunday, April 2. To purchase your lily, look for the insert in next Sunday's bulletin. Easter Sunday Brunch: On April 16 we will begin our two service schedule. The first worship service will begin at 8:30 am, followed by a light brunch in the gym from 9:45-10:50. The second worship service will begin at 11:00 am. Parents & Children: We are excited that Marilyn Highland has a new seeing-eye dog that she can bring to church. Since the dog is at work, please do not pay attention to her. Clothing Donations: The church is no longer collecting clothing under the north door steps for Salem Free. Please take your donations to the charity of your choice. Thanks! Sunday Morning Parking: In order to accommodate guests and those in need of close parking, please leave the parking lot across the street and the curbside parking in front of the church open for those people. Welcome to our new members: Alema Erickson, Diane Laitinen, David & Pam Kriesel-Koll, James Nelson, and Elaine Thomas. There will be a chance to greet them during our Fellowship Time. Our condolences and prayers go out to Al, Pauline, and the Swanson Family. Dorothy Swanson went home to be with the Lord on March 12. Her funeral was held on March 16. Congratulations to Defing Tian (Harry) & Je Ying Zhang (Angel) on the birth of their daughter, Faith Tian. She was born on March 15 and weighed in at 8 pounds. Congratulations to Carlos & Erika Garcia! Their baby daughter, Emily Marie, was born on Saturday, March 4. We rejoice with them that mother and baby are doing well. Bridal Shower Postponed: The shower for Bob & Maggie Gu that was scheduled for today has been postponed. They were married recently in China and have just returned to the U.S. For more details, contact Audrey Sollie. Agape Social: On Saturday, March 18, at 2:00 PM, Agape will visit the Mill City Museum and at 5:00 PM will eat supper at the Old Spaghetti Factory. The museum cost for admission is $8. The restaurant is only a block away and prices range from $7 - $11 per person. RSVP to Gail Marchand. A Marriage Rally will be held at the State Capitol, Tuesday, March 21, from 11:00-12:30 PM.
