Congratulations to Pascal & Tchotchovi Dablaka! They are the proud parents of Enoch Stanley Dablaka born on November 21. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 9 oz.

New Church Directories are available for you to pick up at the Welcome Center. Please limit one directory per family.

Jerry McDonald would like to invite everyone to his clarinet recital on Monday, November 28, 7:00 PM, at the Lloyd Ultan Recital Hall on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

Women's Bible Study: On November 30 at 9:30 AM they will have a special speaker, Annette Cairns, talking about the importance of prayer. Following this, they will have a free catered lunch at 11:00 AM.

Christmas is coming! We will be decorating the church for the Christmas season on Thursday, December 1, at 4:00 PM. Pizza will be served at 6:00 for those decorating. Please let Carrie Boyum know (612-866-3717) if you'll be helping out.

Christmas Social for First Free seniors, Saturday, December 3, 4:00 PM, at Salem Covenant Church. Contact Ralph & Estella Roberts, Al & Betty Carlson, or Don & Ann Johnson for details and transportation if needed.

Women's Guild Christmas Lunch is Tuesday, December 6, 12:00 Noon, in Vi Fjellman's party room. Our speaker will be Becky Sutton. Purchase tickets ($6) today and December 4. Remember your filled shoe boxes for Marie Sandvik Center.

Senior Singles will not meet for lunch in December.

Our Prayers go out to Marilyn Highland. Her husband, Gene, passed away on November 15. His funeral will be held on Monday, November 21, 11:00 AM, at the Washburn-McCreavy Funeral Chapel (W. 50th St & Hwy 100 in Edina).

Congratulations to Derrick & Amy (Van Ert) Anderson! They are the proud parents of Kate Elizabeth Anderson born on October 13. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 13 oz.

Congratulations to Mark & Alema Erickson! They are the proud parents of Nicholas Hayden Erickson born on November 10. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 1 oz. Nicholas looks well and is breathing on his own.

Visitation Class: The Parish Nurses are offering a class to prepare people for visiting the homebound today in Room #5, during the ABF Hour. This class is open to people of all ages.

The Quarterly Business Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 14, at 7:00 PM.

Chaim Social: Come for pizza and volleyball on Saturday, November 19, 6:00 PM, at church in Room #1. The Cost: $8. Please RSVP to Vanessa Beckett at (612) 721-6885. The Young Adult ABF is invited to join us for this event.

Baptism Service: On Sunday, November 20, we will be having a service of baptism during our morning worship. If you desire to be baptized, please contact Pastors Joel or Eric.

Thanksgiving Food Drive: We are holding a food drive for Community Emergency Services. Grocery bags will be available this week in the foyer following the service. Fill the bags with non-perishable items listed on the bag, and return your bag to the church by Sunday, November 20.

Exterior Locks: Due to recent break-ins at church, all the exterior locks will be changed effective November 18. If you need to get into the church, call Scott at (612) 702-5796.

Baby Needs: Tchotchovi & Pascal are expecting a new baby before Thanksgiving. If you have used baby items that you could donate (swing, car seat, stroller, baby clothes, sheets, blankets, or diaper bag), please contact Maureen Juarez.

Blood Pressure Screenings will be available at our church the first Sunday of each month beginning today. Parish Nurses will be available in the library from 9:00-9:25 AM. Please bring a list of your current medications.
