Congratulations to Jon & Carrie Boyum! Collin Andrew Boyum was born on Friday, September 16. He weighed in at 7 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 inches long. The new family is doing well - Christina was happy to see her new brother.

Women's Guild: All ladies are welcome to a 12:00 Noon luncheon and missionary speaker on Tuesday, October 4.

Sam Rotman Concert & Dessert

If you find yourself without someone to invite to the concert, come anyway and support our outreach event!

Calling instrumentalists: Do you have musical ability you'd like to share with our congregation. We are again assembling our church's orchestra members to play October 23rd. If you are interested in playing, please contact Pastor Eric at (612) 910-1763 for an audition.

Do you copy? We are looking for a couple of volunteers to handle duplication of tapes and CD's immediately following the service on Sundays and/or filling orders during the week. If you can serve in this way, call Cindy in the church office.

MOPS could still use several more people to help with their children's group called MOPPETS. If you have an interest, please call Nancy Nichols at (612) 868-9656.

The Twin Cities Marathon is set for Sunday, October 2. If you are north of Minnehaha Creek, try Nicollet Avenue or 35W as good alternate routes to cross over to the church.

Women's Neighborhood Bible Study begins on Wednesday, September 14, at 9:30 AM. We will be studying the book of Hebrews. A great program for children ages infant to 5 years will be provided. Invite your friends!

John & Wendy Gerhardt and 70 members of Castle Rock Church and the Urban Impact staff evacuated New Orleans and are now in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They praise the Lord that they have been able to temporarily stay in the homes of the people at Village Bible Free Church.

  • If you would like to help John & Wendy and Urban Impact Ministries financially, you can write a check to First Evangelical Free Church and mark your offering: Urban Impact Hurricane Relief. We will be sending a check to them on September 12. John & Wendy plan on being at First Free for our Outreach Sunday on October 9.
