Our deep appreciation to the congregation for the most kind, thoughtful, and generous acknowledgment we received on Sunday, June 12. It has been a privilege and honor to have served as Visitation Pastor these few years. Thank you! (Thanks for not giving us a bird also.) ~Bob & Lois Chapman

Overcomers First Nations Hockey School: Native kids from northern Canada need accommodations and chaperones for the week of Sunday, July 3, through Saturday, July 9. If you are interested in hosting or being a chaperone, contact Dave Boeltl at (651) 690-3891 or dboeltl {at} usfamily.net.

Evangelion Chorale (Dan & Cybil Juarez are part of this) will be in concert on Sunday, July 10, 3:00 PM, Benson Great Hall at Bethel College. Cost: $10 at the door.

EFCA Missionary Candidate School: First Free will be hosting this school from July 11-22. If you would be willing to volunteer your time helping with meals, please contact Carrie Boyum at (612) 866-3717.

C. 'N C. College & Career Class will be having a reunion at Lake Nokomis on Saturday, July 23, from 2:00-6:00 PM. If you have questions, contact Barb Hugo or Janet Poston.

Baptisms & Picnic at Lake Nokomis: We are having an outdoor baptism service on Sunday, August 14, following morning worship. Please call the church office at (612) 827-4705 if you are interested in being baptized.

Glass Bottles Needed for VBS: Save your glass beverage bottles (pop - IBC root beer, iced tea, water, etc.) for VBS Crafts Inc. Please place them in the box located behind the Welcome Center. You will receive extra credit for labels removed. Contact Sherie McClun at (612) 827-1863.

Lost & Found Table: If you are missing something, please stop by the tables in gym and check for your lost item(s). All unclaimed items will be donated to Salem Free Church.

Welcome New Members: We extend the right hand of fellowship to our newest members: Dave Boeltl, Dale & Mary Bostrom, David & Cheryl Byer, Rocky DeWall, Leah Gillette, Darian Libauer, Joi O'Dell, Heather Weinand, and Harry & Janet Whitehead.

Congratulations to Jay Pound & Heidi Hultstrand who were married at First Free on Saturday, June 18th. They plan to make their home in St. Louis Park. Jay will begin his senior year at Bethel College, and Heidi will begin Dental School at the University of MN. They plan to continue attending here.

Happy 50th Anniversary to Chris & Marilyn Vatsaas! They were married on June 18, 1955.

In Appreciation of Bob & Lois Chapman, we will have a special time to thank them for their years of care-giving during our service and fellowship time this morning. Bob will be retiring as Visitation Pastor at the end of June. Be sure to fill out your thank you notes, and place them in the box at the Welcome Center.

Congratulations to Bin Zhang & Hongbo Wang, proud parents of a baby girl, Lillian Zhang, born on May 29, 2005.

Lester & Theone Westlund have moved to Rockford, Illinois, where they will live near their children. They will miss their friends at First Free, but they trust the Lord as they take this next step. Their new address is: 960 North Mulford Rd, #328, Rockford, IL 61107.

Welcome New Members: On Sunday, June 19, we will have a special welcome during our service and fellowship time to greet our newest members.

No Senior Singles Lunches will be held during the months of June, July, or August.

Mitford Book Series: Does anyone have books from the Mitford Series that they would like to donate to the church library? If so, please contact Carolyn Berg at (612) 724-7193.

Lost & Found: Our boxes are overflowing with lost items! For the next several Sundays these items will be on a table in the gym. If you are missing something, please stop by and take a look during fellowship time. All unclaimed items will be donated to Salem Free Church.

In Honor of Sarah Clinton for her seven years of faithful service as Nursery Coordinator, we will have a reception and cake during our Fellowship Time. Take the opportunity to write a thank you note to Sarah today. Cards are available in the gym on the table with balloons!

Farewell Party for Lester & Theone Westlund: Today the Seniors Class will have a time to honor the Westlunds and say goodbye to them during the fellowship time and ABF hour in the Seniors Classroom #2. Lester & Theone will be moving to Rockford, Illinois.

In Appreciation of Bob & Lois Chapman, we will have a special time to thank them for their years of care-giving during our service and fellowship time Sunday, June 12. We are so thankful for all the prayer support during Erick's recent surgery - a special thank you to Bob Chapman for his encouragement and prayer time with us just before surgery. God's blessings to all ~ Mary & Erick Ericksen

Women's Guild Salad Luncheon will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, June 7, at Verna Beckman's home, 9401 Lyndale Ave. S. Annette Cairns will be speaking.

Supplies Needed:

  • Baseball and softball mitts, children's to adult sizes
  • T-ball equipment (especially a tee)
  • Foam bat and "waffle" balls
  • Rubber bases
  • Baseballs, softballs, soccer balls, volleyballs
  • Any other sports equipment that you are not using

    There may be some additional items that we will have to purchase. If you are interested in contributing towards one of these items, contact Sue Stabnow at (952) 226-3344.
