Dan & Kimberly Reeve left for their new home and ministry in New York City. Today during the fellowship time there will be a basket for your love offerings.

Labor Day Schedule: No Adult Bible Fellowships or Sunday School will be held on September 5th. Commissions, Finance & Property, and Council will meet on Sunday, September 12.

Senior Singles are invited to meet for lunch at 12:30 PM, September 12, at the Olive Garden.

Pictorial Directory: If you need to change an appointment for pictures or would like to sign up to have your picture taken, it is not too late - just call (866) 802-4452.

Minnesota Vespers, an evening of traditional hymns, gospel songs, scripture, and meditations, will be held on Sunday, September 12, 4:30 PM, at Colony Park Church located at 5532 Wooddale Avenue, Edina.

A Week of Prayer: As we begin another fall season, Pastor Joel has issued a week-long call to prayer. Let's begin by praising God for this past year and seeking His face for our future. Look for the prayer bookmark in your September 12 Sunday bulletin. Our week of prayer will culminate with a Concert of Prayer on Sunday, September 19, at 6:00 PM.

Doug & Cheryl Conrad will be commissioned today before they depart for Fukuoka, Japan. They will be involved with church planting and teaching there. A basket will be available for your love offerings at fellowship time today.

Doug & Cheryl Conrad want to thank First Free "for their wonderful kindnesses, friendship, and support" this last year. They leave for Japan this afternoon at 3:00 PM. Let's pray for them especially now as they make this big adjustment.

You are invited to the Women's Neighborhood Bible Study starting up on Wednesday, September 8, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. This is open to women of all ages (bring your friends). Our study will be Psalms and Proverbs. A great children's program is also provided for children ages infant to 5 years!

The candle in the sanctuary is lit to celebrate the new birth of five people who received Christ as their Savior this past week! Pray for God's blessings and their spiritual growth.

Best wishes and farewell to Dan & Kimberly Reeve. This will be their last Sunday with us at First Free. They are moving to New York to continue their ministry with the EFCA Urban Intercultural Mission. Come and see them off at the picnic.

Congratulations to Rich & Allison Pluntz, who are the proud parents of Elise Kathleen. She was born on August 9 and weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces. They are excited as she joins her sister Alexandria as part of the family.

MOPS (Mothers' of Preschoolers) exists to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth to kindergarten. Please join us! We meet on the first and third Friday of each month from 9:30-11:30 am. MOPS will start on September 17th, 2004.

  • Everyone bring blankets or lawn chairs.
  • Meat will be provided.

Sam Song, Executive Director

Sam Song is now Executive Director of the China Higher Education Project here at First Free. Our request for an R-1 visa for Sam was recently approved by U.S. Immigration Services.

Praise God for this fantastic answer to prayer!
