Charles & Cindy Sawyer announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily, to Amir Hasan. A September 12th wedding is being planned aboard the Vista Star on Lake Superior. Amir is with the United States Air Force and will be stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, Missouri.

The Fidelis Class Business Meeting & Potluck will be held on Friday, April 30, at 6:00 PM.

VBS Painting Day will be held on Saturday, May 8, 9:30 AM-4:00 PM. We will be painting scenes, sets, and decorations for VBS. Come for an hour or stay for the day. Lunch will be provided. Questions, contact Patty Mellema.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming Annual Meeting, Monday, May 10, at 7:00 PM.

An all-church ladies spring luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 15 at 12:30 PM. Our speaker will be Betty Swanson, who will talk on "Tending the Garden of Your Soul." Our guest soloist will be Jan Elasky Barrett. Tickets will be $8 and will be available on Sundays, May 2 and May 9. Please join us for a time of inspiration and fellowship.

Student Desk Chairs, sized for K-3rd grade children, are no longer needed by the church and are free for you to take. These chairs feature an attached writing surface. If you would like one, contact Rick Vatsaas at (651) 681-8606.

Our nursery is growing! Can you spare a Sunday to spend with our babies? You can determine the frequency of your service. If you can help, call Sarah Clinton for more details.

If you have children's clothes you could donate to Salem Free, put them in the marked bin across from the office.

Twin Cities Festival Friendship Evangelism Training

Saturday, May 22, 9:00 am-3:30 pm

Plan now to spend a day learning how you can use the gifts and interests God has given you to reach others with the Gospel. The event is free at the Emmanuel Christian Center with lunch on your own. Register now at www.TwinCitiesFestival.org.

Want to sponsor a student? Our students are participating in a work day called Project SERVE. They will ask for sponsors to pledge them for a certain amount per hour of service. We will serve our church and community members together as a student ministry. Monies raised will help our students attend summer camps and conferences. All pledge sheets need to be turned in before the work day on April 24.

Do you have some light housework that can be done by our students? On April 24th our students will embark on Project SERVE where they are available to help you - AT NO COST TO YOU! Contact Pastor Eric at (612) 827-4705.

Minnesota Vespers, hymns, Gospel songs, and meditations in the traditional style, will be held this afternoon, 4:30 PM, at Colony Park Baptist Church, 5532 Wooddale Ave. So. in Edina. Tim Johnson will give the meditation.

Congratulations to Mark & Alema Erickson! On April 3, they became the proud parents of Austin Phillip. He weighed in at 7 pounds 1 ounce. Mother and baby are doing fine.

North Central District Senior Luncheon will be held here at First Free on Tuesday, April 13th. The NCD will provide a catered luncheon. Registration begins at 9:30 AM with a hymn sing and special music at 10:15. A catered lunch will be served at Noon. Pastor Joel Sutton will be speaking.

A Chaim Class Social is planned for Friday, April 16, at 7:00 PM. We will be watching a movie at church in our ABF Room. Bring a snack or dessert to share. Please RSVP to Vanessa Beckett at (612) 721-6885.

The Revised 101 Class for New Members will meet in Classroom #5 this morning at 11:00 AM. This room is located on the church office level by the preschool area.

Join us for Guy's Night Out - NCAA Basketball Final on Monday, April 5, 7:00 PM, in the church gym. This is open to men aged 16 to 106. We will be watching the game and enjoying pizza together. Bring a friend and some pop or a snack to share. Questions, call John Merry at 612-823-4362.

A Women's Guild Potluck Salad Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, April 6, at Noon. Grace Vandervort will be speaking.

White Cross will meet on Thursday, April 8, at 9:00 AM. This is due to the NCD Senior Luncheon that will be held at First Free on Tuesday, April 13.
