First Evangelical Free Church - Where the Difference is...The Relationship!
Missions
Outreach Ministry of First Evangelical Free Church of Minneapolis

Since the founding of First Evangelical Free Church of Minneapolis in 1884, there has been a strong motivation towards evangelism and missions. Although the congregation was made up of poor ethnic Swedes, from very early on their outreach extended as far as China. In 1890, a group of fifteen young women formed a Foreign Missions Society that helped to support missionaries to Canton.

Over the more than 120 years since the congregation began, scores of members have left to serve Christ's cause in all parts of the world under dozens of missions organizations. And even more missionaries, although not originally part of this church, have been supported in their task of sharing the Good News of the Gospel and caring for the needy across the globe, as well as across the street.

Truly it can be said that First Evangelical Free Church of Minneapolis has not hidden its light under a bushel!

Manna Lifeline began in 1982 by providing only rice to a few people as finances allowed. It started by two individuals, with a heart for people, who saw a need. These two individuals each donated $100 to initally purchase rice. This vision grew into the organization known as Manna Lifeline, which serves multiple individuals and families. This outreach has spread throughout the state of Minnesota and continues to grow.
The National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) is a voluntary association of individuals, denominations, churches, schools and organizations comprised of approximately 43,000 congregations nationwide.

Trinity International University's calling is to glorify the Triune God as a learning community "entrusted with the Gospel." The university serves the church by preparing students to fulfill their divine calling through the study of his Word and his world. Trinity is committed to the Christian vision which laid the foundations of the great Western universities: that all knowledge is unified in Jesus Christ, since it was through him that all things were made.
Trinity Western seeks to cultivate total student development through increased knowledge and discernment, sharpened critical thinking, communication and leadership skill development, and deepened commitment to Jesus Christ and a Christian way of life. The purpose of all learning is to enable members of the Trinity Western community to glorify God and serve people wherever God places them in society.

A Thought From God's Word:
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. [Psalm 100:1-5]
