Outreach Ministry of First Evangelical Free Church of Minneapolis
Since the founding of First Evangelical Free Church of Minneapolis in 1884,
there has been a strong motivation towards evangelism and missions. Although
the congregation was made up of poor ethnic Swedes, from very early on their
outreach extended as far as China. In 1890, a group of fifteen young women
formed a Foreign Missions Society that helped to support missionaries to
Canton.
Over the more than 120 years since the congregation began, scores of members
have left to serve Christ's cause in all parts of the world under dozens of
missions organizations. And even more missionaries, although not originally
part of this church, have been supported in their task of sharing the Good
News of the Gospel and caring for the needy across the globe, as well as
across the street.
Truly it can be said that First Evangelical Free Church of Minneapolis has
not hidden its light under a bushel!
We are interdependent churches, working together to plant, grow, and mobilize healthy churches so every Minnesotan will live under the influence of a healthy church.

A Thought From God's Word:
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
[Psalm 100:1-5]
