Washburn High School has been rescheduled for 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 22nd.
Washburn High School: Volunteers will help with general landscaping and clean-up around the school grounds. We are planning for 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 22nd. Come when you can, leave when you must. Washburn is located at 201 W 49th St.
Summer Student Ministries Celebration: August 27
Join us as we celebrate our students and the awesome experiences they had this summer at Lead the Cause and in Nicaragua! Hear students share about what they learned and how God worked during the worship gathering at 10:00 a.m. and stick around to talk to them more during fellowship time.
Fall Kickoff: September 10
Join us as we kick off the Fall season at First Free! We'll be returning to our two Worship Gatherings at 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. with community groups and K-12 groups starting up.
CPR/AED/Epi Pen Training: September 17th
The annual CPR/AED/Epi Pen training will take place on September 17th, following the second service 12:30-3:30 p.m. in room 105. Everyone is welcome to come, especially if you are volunteering in the church. There will be a small lunch before the training. Register by filling out the form here or call the church office.
Dementia & Alzheimer's class: September 5th, 12th, and 26th
Learn more about dementia, memory loss, and Alzheimer’s disease. Three classes will be offered at First Free by Katie Roberg from the Alzheimer’s Association. Each class will cover a new topic: dementia and Alzheimer's basics, effective communication strategies, and healthy living for body and brain. Join us September 5th, 12th, and 26th in room 105, 7-8:30 p.m. No registration needed.
Farmers Market: Wednesdays through September
Come enjoy locally grown food in our neighborhood starting June 15 from 4:00-8:00 pm. Be sure to come back for more Wednesdays from June 14th through September 28th. Located in our church parking lot.
We are looking for volunteers to represent First Free by being present at the door to greet, direct people to the bathrooms, and lock up after the farmers market (4-8 p.m. on Wednesdays starting June 14th). If interested, contact the church office.
